Mohamed Sumyla Kamara

Mohamed Kamara is the Tax and Tax Advisory partner for Decker & Partners and is also a member of the board of Directors of the firm. He also doubles as the firm’s Ethics and Independence Partner, Information Technology Partner, and assists in the administration operations of the firm. Mohamed has served in the professional world since 2004 to date, during which period he held various positions in the firms that he worked with. In 2004 to 2006 he served as Accountant and Auditor in Addison James & Co, Chartered Certified Accountants London UK. In 2008 up to 2011, he was Lecturer and Head of ACCA at The Greenwich London College, London, UK. When he returned home in October 2011, he served in the financial sector as he was the Head, Costs and Budget Control at Guaranty Trust Bank (SL) Ltd. Between July 2012 and December 2016, he served as Manager and later as Director of Taxation and Tax Advisory Services with Freetown Nominees Limited, and Leone Consultants (Chartered Accountants). From January 2017 to January 2018, he was the Partner in charge of Taxation and Tax Advisory Services at Moore Stephens Sierra Leone, a firm of Chartered Accountants. Mohamed holds a BSC Honours Degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks University, UK and is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom. He is currently pursuing The Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) course with the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) in the United Kingdom.
